Having struggled with weight, food and mainly motivation through my teens and young adult hood I had become used to building up humour barriers to protect my confidence, I called myself “the fat funny friend” and lived up to it too….
My fitness journey began 10 years ago when I was introduced to Functional Fitness, I was shown that fitness wasn’t only how far you could run on a treadmill or what size jeans you put on, I learned that girls can, should and do lift weights in the gym and could feel super confident for doing so!
Since then I have never looked back, for 8 years I exercised 3-5 times a week, I competed in low level regional competitions, I exercised through my pregnancy and used exercise as a way to improve, socialise and a welcome stress release while holding down a Senior Area Management Role, being a Mummy and wife….
It is over 2 and a half years ago now, after being encouraged by my friends and family, that I started my instructor qualifications….it was only meant to be to set up a small community group in the new area I lived…..but the passion I have for fitness, it’s power to develop and heal a person and build friendships has lead me to now deliver full time….I love it…
I focus mainly on the development of Female Functional Fitness, I get a buzz from introducing ladies to movements they may never have done before and ensuring physical improvement through form and fitness.
I have also stepped into delivering nutritional support and information, but this is a new phase of my own
